Peggy and I lost track of one another thru the years. Obituary says she got a BS in Nursing from Chapel Hill and a masters at Univ of TN. She practiced nursing and became an instructor of nursing. She and I met in 9th grade and along with Debbie Rhodes formed a trio to sing Negro Spirituals for a Civil War History project. Lots of fun and we stayed together a couple of years singing at church suppers. We went on to East Meck to be in Mr. Starnes Choir and Peg and I sat next to each other in the Alto section. Peggy was a friend who was always there for you and had a great sense of humor. Because our birthdays were only 2 days apart, we were getting that long sought after drivers license the same week. BUT, she was born in a Leap Year, so while I was 16, she was only turning 4! We all gave her a hard time about driving at such a young age. She took our ribbing well. Sure wish she and I had stayed in touch thru the years. Rest in Peace dear Friend.
