There aren't enough kind, generous, or thoughtful things to say about George. Brilliant, unassuming, aspirational come to mind. George saw the world as an endless exploration of emotion and meaning and he intended to consume and convert all of it to music. His family adored him and he them. I saw him shortly before he left to record an original song for a record label in Columbia S.C.. His music and vision was coming into their own; confident, reflective, and pure in spirit. He was exhilarated and looking ahead but was also concerned about how I was doing. That was George. Tragically, the van carrying the band back to Charlotte after that studio session had a accident. This has remained a great personal loss for me as it must for anyone who loved and looked up to George. George was and will ever be a Guiding Star.
