Grateful for so much! Like, 12 years super-healthy (after cancer in middle of grad school clinical training.)
Tho my precious Dad has been deceased 20 years, 92-year-old mom is still quite lively, lives independently near us in Lake Norman area.
Husband John and I each retired once, but it didn’t take! Both back doing different work & love doing it on own terms.
My after-high school ventures included:
Journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill & work for 24 years in the field -- first as newspaper reporter & then in bank corporate communications.
After retiring at 50, taught yoga and volunteered a couple years before finally pursuing a longtime (weirdo!?) dream of studying and practicing Jungian psychology at an amazing institute outside Santa Barbara, CA.
Since 2010 have been a therapist in private practice in Davidson, where I hope to continue as long as people value sharing their stories with me.
It’s an honor to be able to do this.

Choir, girls' ensemble, fantastic school drama and musical stuff... journalism classes, newspaper and yearbook staffs with such fun trips with editor Brenda Bailey to UNC and NYC to collect awards...
Some hilarious dramas unfolding around those all-important tables in the lunchroom...
